Slow Cooker Thai Peanut Pork Chops
About this Cook
I don't cook much but I am currently unemployed and my wife is a teacher, so I am home all day and she has tasked me with making dinner. I decided this was the perfect time to learn to cook. I would say I'm a beginner cook but an intermediate baker.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Year for Christmas my dad cooks Italian sausage and hotdogs in a slow cooker for about 6 hours. He cooks them in red wine, onions and red and green bell peppers. I'm not positive what all he puts in the pot but It's been a tradition since I was small that He makes this and we eat it at Midnight and open presents. The smell in the house it amazing and that is what Christmas smells like to me.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup
Best Soup Ever! I love mexican food, and I loved this. My wife loved it and my guests loved it. I'm making it again this weekend. I put the chicken breasts in the pot, added some red pepper flakes to add a little more spice to it, and I also substituted the 2 cups of water with chicken broth as suggested by other reviewers. Grade A soup!

Simple BBQ Ribs
Delicious, I boiled for 45min and baked them for 75min as suggested by BOONIE12. Turned out delicious. I added a little bit of teriyaki sauce to the boiling for a little flavor, cuz we don't have any soy sauce. My wife loved them, said they were better than any she'd had at restaurants. This was my first attempt at ribs.

Slow Cooker Thai Peanut Pork
This recipe was pretty good, a little bit too much peanut butter in my opinion, it came out a bit strong. One mistake I made was I put everything in the crock pot the night before and then just woke up and started cooking it. This didn't work out too well because the pork absorbed the teriyaki sauce and it made the port VERY salty. The pork tasted very different from the gravy because of this. Overall very nice recipe though.
