I'm a somewhat new wife living in a brand new house my husband and I built. I'm learning to use my new kitchen and really enjoying it. My husband is a big meat eater and I'm practically a vegetarian so any suggestions would be great!
My favorite things to cook
I like cooking things that I know people will like, specifically my husband. We both are into Mexican food.
My cooking tragedies
There are a lot. A particular favorite is when the pot holder I used stuck to the bottom of the pan that I had just placed in the oven. It was at my mother-in-law's and I burnt up her pot holder! Yikes!

Chile Relleno Casserole
Maybe it was our taste buds, but we really didn't care for this. I want to blame the egg. It just didn't taste right with the other ingredients.

Roasted Pork Loin
The guys gave this 4 stars. I cooked it in the slow cooker and I think it wold have been better in the oven. I followed the recipe exaclty and they are still eating the left overs so they must have liked it.
