About this Cook
I LOVE TO COOK!!! Anything and everything...I like to get creative with my food because I know if it looks good it tastes good!!! (usually...) Ilove when my kids say I'm the best cook in the world..ahh that is the BEST!!! I have always worked with or around food and would really love to open my own restaurant one day!
My favorite things to cook
Everything...especially southern style dishes... just like Grandma used to make!!! Mexican, Chinese, really anything!!! I also love to bake...cookies, cakes, cobblers...you name it!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Everybody making their best dishes and getting together for ANY reason...Thanksgiving, Christmas, Labor Day, reunions, funerals, etc. That was always my best time with my family cooking and eating! Even for birthdays you get to pick your favorite meal and someone cooks for you!
My cooking triumphs
My very first entire meal for six...I'll never forget how I timed it perfectly and everything was just the way it should have been!!! The satisfaction! But, then when people told me how good it was...WOW! And the very first cake I made that was perfect and didn't fall apart or get too hard or burned!
My cooking tragedies
Trying to cook everything on high to make it cook faster when I first started cooking! I thought people just knew how to cook...I thought I would just throw things together and it would taste good...it was horrible! I made cinnamon-sugar french puffs...I guess I used too much salt..they were disgusting! You couldn't eat them at all!

Russian Tea II
I HAVE MADE THIS TEA FOR YEARS AND IT IS DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE! I EVEN USED WHEN I WAS PREGNANT TO CURB THE MORNING SICKNESS...WHEN YOU HAVE A COLD OR COUGH OR SORE THROAT, THIS IS ALWAYS A GREAT REMEDY...TRY IT, YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!! AS SOME OF THE OTHER REVIEWERS NOTED IT IS ALSO A PERFECT AND INEXPENSIVE CHRISTMAS GIFT...AND YOU CAN USE SPLENDA IN THE PLACE OF SUGAR AND IT TASTES THE SAME. I WILL TRY ADDING THE CANDIES THIS YEAR AS I LOVE THE LEMONY AND SPICY FLAVORS OF BOTH...BUT, I MAY TRY LAYERING JUST FOR A PLEASING EFFECT WHEN GIVING AS GIFTS IN THE GLASS JARS!!! THANKS SO MUCH!!!
