About this Cook
Growing up I always loved to be in the kitchen expermenting and nothing has changed. Now my little girl loves to help me cook - she says her job is the "taster girl", and is always VERY efficient!
My favorite things to cook
I have a weekness for deserts!! I also love Itallian, Mexican, soups and breads. I love trying new things and am happy cooking anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas candy and thanksgiving dinner!! I guess its a good thing they only come around once a year. :)
My cooking triumphs
I single handedly (well, almost. I did enlist the help of my then fiance) catered a luncheon of home made soups and rolls for 150 people with under 24 hour notice!! Luckily everything turned out the way it was supposed to. I had tons of compliments at the event and then the HR manager of the business said she was still getting compliments and praise for picking out such a good caterer for at least 2 weeks after! I did it all in my little home kitchen with no previous experiece!

Marshmallow Fondant
I thought this fondant was very easy to make and to work with. It did dry out a little while I was working with it, so I just added a little water and VOILA! Don't forget to add the water!! I made 2 batches and forgot on the second batch. Killed my mixer. :( And I still gave it 5 stars. :) I left out the vanilla and used butter flavored shortening. It is very rich so we all had a smaller than normal piece, but my waistline thanks you.

Butter Cream Frosting II
Perfect! I love buttercream frosting and this was just like it should be. I used butter flavored shortening in mine.

Sweet Tart Pastry
I was not overly impressed. It tasted a lot like a sugar cookie to me, and just using sugar cookie dough would be easier. No kneading. Just be sure to not over bake.
