Easy Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2012
My hubby loved it! I on the other hand thought it was good... but not ummmm good. I would tweak it a bit next time. I would use Vidalia onion and I would not cook it till it was caramelized, but tender and juicy. I would use swiss cheese or provolone instead of cheddar. I might cut out the mushrooms. But it is all a matter of preference. Overall good recipe!!

Baked Chicken and Brie

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
Loved it... The chicken stays moist because it cooks in the wine. I added the cheese about 15-20 minutes before removing from the oven. I also added basil seasoning to the chicken. Will make it again and again!

Very Berry And Soy Delicious Ice Pops

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
These are tasty treats... my soy milk did not add a sweetness to my pops, so I had to counter that by adding honey and lemon juice, until I had achieved the desired taste. They honey and lemon really made these pops for me. Had the leftovers as a delicious smoothie for lunch!!

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
I like these. I thought they were good in a pinch... not my favorite, but I would make them again. I did as others suggested and omitted the ketchup and used BBQ sauce, I chopped onions, sliced some garlic and sprinkled them on top of the chops. This is how I suggest making them.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2011
Love it! I used chicken brest. I did what others have suggested: I cut the butter to 1/4 cup, I chopped some onions and sliced some garlic and sprinkled it on top! I left every thing else the same. I will continue to make this over & over.

Yummy Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
Easy and Quick!! As did the majority of reviewers, I cut way back on sugar and it was perfectly sweetened! The batter was not runny as stated, so I added more liquid to get it to the consistency to spread over the blueberries. More cake like than most cobblers, but we loved it! We reheated it in the oven the next night and it was even better!!!!

Crunchy Romaine Toss

Love it!! The dressing is good! This salad is adaptable! I did not have broccoli so I took a veggie peeler and shaved in some carrots. I added cranberries and fresh tomatoes. It was delish! I especially love the dressing and will make it for all my salad needs :)

Simple Mexican Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2010
My new go to rice!! I love putting it in the oven setting the timer (checking for done-ness) then turn the oven off; let it sit there till guest have arrived and everything is on the table! Stays hot!! I had to use tomato sauce instead of paste. I also added salt and pepper. Brown the rice with the onion, garlic and seasoning to keep it firm and not mushy. I barely brought mine to a boil before putting in the casserole dish. Taste the liquid before adding it to the casserole dish to see if it needs salt. Easy to tweak to your liking!! Remember, different types of rice require different amounts of liquid and cooking times vary. I used Brown Basmati Rice which requires a bit more cooking time. Just remember to check your rice for done-ness... it takes practice :)

Love this cake... made it with plums only as I did not have blueberries. I thought for sure the cake would stick to my cake pan... but it came right out onto the plate after letting it cool for 15min. It is a beautiful site and it taste great. I like the tart and sweet together... wonderful!

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
OMG! This is a new favorite!!! A great last minute meal that's sure to please! It's best to use the jar of minced garlic, instead of going throug the trouble. Line your baking dish with foil!!! So much better for the juices to collect & baste your chicks easily... Also easy clean up =) luv this dish!!

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
A huge success at our New Years party!! Definitely roast your squash!! I roasted them for about an hour at 350 degrees brushed with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. I also sauteed the onion, and substituted chicken stock instead of water. I Doubled the recipe and omitted one pkg of cream cheese (used 3 instead of 4pks.) Amazing and addicting!!

Strawberries with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
This is surprisingly good! I will use this often! The balsamic gives the berry a more intense flavor than just using the norm sugar mix. I love the extra flavor that the balsamic gives any dessert dish. I will use this often. Don't be afraid of the pepper, it enhances and blends well, even on sweets!!

Homemade Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
A huge hit a our Daniel Fast Dinner Event. The soup is hearty and flavorful! It is so versatile, you can add whatever you have on hand and add your favorite seasonings too! I recommend cutting the cabbage into bite size pieces. I left out the N. Beans, I did not have them. I also left out the celery, don't care for it in soup. I am making this again tonight, with whats left in the fridge!

Baked Sweet Potato Sticks

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
These were a hit! I cut into small strips, but think they need to match sticks. They didn't get crisp all they way. They are more of a crispy, deliciousness with a bit of softness. Here is what I did: olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, minced ginger (from a jar) minced galic (from jar), S&P; put it all in a ziplock bag and mixed. I turned them several times, and took them out as they started to blacken on the ends. I served them room temp. SO GOOD!
