About this Cook
I find cooking very relaxing. It is a hobby that I have embraced since I was 17 years old. I have tried hundreds of recipes as well as creating hundreds of my own. My husband and I love fine dining and my tastes have changed to a more sophisticated one. We often find ourselves pairing food with wine or beer and keeping records of what we like the best. We love to entertain.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite dinner party is Korean Barbecue. I set up a grill right on the table to cook and I can make all of the salads a couple of days in advance. My guests are always wowed and it is always a memorable night.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family tradition is brunch on Christmas day. After a morning of opening gifts we always sit down to a formal brunch. There are omelets, pancakes, waffles, sausages, bacon, you name it we make it. Although the place settings are always formal, we sit around the table in our robes and enjoy each others company over casual conversation.
My cooking triumphs
My ultimate cooking triumph I would have to say is ravioli. I have practiced this to where I now have a good handle on making the pasta just right.
My cooking tragedies
Hands down my biggest goof was making chocolate bowls for chocolate mousse. The chocolate was too hot when I put it on the balloons and after doing about 4 of them, they all popped. There was chocolate everywhere!

Garlic Prime Rib
This was outstanding and so easy to make. I had a 5 lb. roast that took about 75 minutes from beginning to end. I served this with horseradish sauce and zip sauce. It was delicious!

Southwest White Chicken Chili
I made this with my leftover turkey. It was very good and a great way to use up leftovers. I added extra garlic and pickled jalapenos. I would make this again.
