Grilled Halibut with Cilantro Garlic Butter
About this Cook
I've been cooking and baking for more than 10 years but only really started enjoying it and getting creative in the past few years.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts mostly, though trying not to eat it all is a problem.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom used to do all the family holiday baking and has passed this tradition to me in the last couple years.
My cooking triumphs
Cranberry brie bites... unfortunately I don't remember where I got the recipe so can't give credit but they were a big hit! Cranberry sauce and brie baked in mini muffin tin with pastry dough.
My cooking tragedies
I made my first scratch butter cake which baked unevenly due to the pans I chose. I made butter cream icing for it, but didn't know the proper consistency so had a great deal of trouble icing and decorating the cake.

Curried Rice Pilaf
just a nice hint of curry flavor.

Steakhouse Black Bread
While the bread tasted great, the recipe didn't say anything about greasing the pan and I forgot! It kinda fell apart when I tried to get it out of the pan. Lesson learned and I'll definitely make it again.

Zucchini Herb Casserole
Except for garlic (never enough garlic), I seasoned as suggested and found the flavor just right. I might reduce the amount of cheese next time I make it but definitely use sharp again. This could be good with sweet peppers and/or other varieties of squash added too.
