About this Cook
My name is Eric, and I grew up in Western NC eating very southern food. When I moved to Washington DC after College I branched out into more ethnic foods.. I love almost all types of food. My wife Kristie is also a great cook.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook BBQ, Cajun, Thai and other spicy foods. I also love to make southern favorites.. but can't make good southern biscuits to save my life.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Family tradition of making turkey on Thanksgiving. Lately I have branched out and have been deep frying our turkey!
My cooking triumphs
Deep Frying Turkey! Making my first Turducken! Cajun Meatloaf My own southern cornbread with a twist!
My cooking tragedies
Almost any type of Baking!

Hot Italian Giardiniera
I made a huge 3 gallon batch and it only lasted two weeks.. so I am making more! Only change is I used water instead of the oil because I am not fond of the oil/vinegar mixture.
