I'm afraid I'm one of a handful as I didn't like these cookies at all. I served them at a party where they were eaten but I think that perhaps many were accustomed to store-bought cookies and didn't realize that these were dry and tasteless--not at all what homemade cookies should be.

At first I wasn't sure if maybe I would ruin the cake by adding the sugar/water solution. Fearful that my dessert would become "soggy cake," I only added half of the mix. Next time, I'll know better--add it all! It truly makes it a wonderful, unique dessert!
