My mom was a most excellent cook. She taught me a lot, but I've also learned a lot on my own. I think it is a genetic blessing.
My favorite things to cook
Just about anything. I make a fantastic Italian red sauce that simmers in the oven for a day. You then can use it as a base for Chicken Parmesean, or add meat for a meat sauce, or meatballs, use it for lasagna sauce or for a dipping sauce with bread sticks. I also love to cook basic comfort foods (my step-daughter begs for my chicken noodles and beef and noodles) I am a well-rounded cook in that I love to cook most anything.
