Sugar Cookie Glaze

This was good. I will use it again. It was a little runny but I think it was because I added a 1/4tsp of vanilla for flavor. The cookies took 2 hours to dry, but then still tacky - I will try more sugar next time.

Mexican Mole Sauce

We are very pleased with this recipe! My 4year-old loved it. We had it over chicken wrapped in flour tortillas and added fresh avacado, tomato and made corn chips at home. I added a little (1/4cup maybe) extra water at the end before the boil to make sure it didn't get too thick. It turned out perfectly and I was very impressed. I will use this recipe often - we have mexican food several times a week.

Old-Fashioned Potato Pancakes

I made these tonight since I had a ton of potatoes left over from my holiday cooking. I did not have parsely so I made them without. I used my non-stick griddle, mashed the pancakes out very thin with the sides of 2 forks and cooked them until very crispy. The husband and son ate them as they were done since they do not sit well and become soggy very fast. I ate mine while still cooking several on the griddle. Had them with applesauce and sour cream, maple syrup or cheese and ranch dressing.

Chicken Flautas

This turned out good for my family. The contents ended up a little dry, I added lots of salsa, cheese and sour cream to the served dish but it may have drowned out some of the flavor of the dish. I did like the ease and the amount it made though. Very nice

Marilyn's Cheesy Clam Chowder

Loved it - made up a batch for National Clam Chowder Day (Feb 23) and it was a huge hit. Used sweet potato in place of white because it was all I had on hand. Also use extra sharp white cheddar - gave a tremendous kick to the chowder although it didn't look as nice, it separated too much but that was my own fault.

Banana Muffins II

These are terrific. I added 1 tsp of vanilla and 1 tsp cinnamon to it. The smell is wonderful, my 3 year old loves them and asks for them every morning. I am very happy with this recipe I have made it twice now with great results both times. I will make again.

This is really good. And in a pinch for time, this recipe works very well. I served over rice and just seasoned with salt and pepper. I will make again and have fresh parmesean cheese as well.

Best Tuna Casserole

This was reminicent of Tuna Casserole my hubby had as a child. He said it had everything really good in it and had 2 helpings or more. I didn't have the mushrooms so I omitted those. Hubby doesn't like peas so I increased the potato chips by 3x - added a mix of cheddar and mozz cheese since I ran out of cheddar. And I didn't pay any attention to how much onion I actually put in - I am sure it was nmore like 3/4 cup of white onion. But it smelled soooo good when cooked. It reheated awesome. I added this to my recipe box and will be maing thios once a week.

Pasties II

We introduced to these when I lived in Butte, MT. A huge part of the local culture, pasties are an art form there. I really enjoyed how easy the dough is to form. I had a lot of extra filling but that wasn't a problem. Just froze it until the pastie making. I have made these three times since finding this recipe.

Basic Pizza Crust

This was a good crust recipe. The dough didn't want to come together in the mixer so I added more oil - unfortunately, this made it more sticky and harder to work with - my fault. But the outcome was amazing. I love the thinner crust pizza and this turned out just right for me. I would make again and highly reccommend!

Aaahh! Potato Soup

I doubled the batch and enjoyed with rolls and a few leftover biscuits. The hubby took the remainder to work for 4 lunches! He really loved it. I used scalloped potato mix as the au gratin was sold out and it worked wonderfully. I will make this again on my scheduled soup day. I love this recipe.

These really are amazing. I perfer chewy so these save everyones' preferences just wonderfully! I had to make the cookie balls a wee bit smaller than normal so I ended up with WAYYYYY more cookies than the recipe states but, that's ok - being a friday with 16 hungry preschoolers, I am certain they will not mind in the least!
