Washabinaros Chili

This chili rocks!! I did tone down the pepper situation cause i gotta toddler. I used chipolte pepper instead of cayenne because chipolte adds a smokey flavor. Also, I used ground deer instead of ground beef. This recipe is now my offical chili recipe!!!

Couscous Salad with Chickpeas, Dates & Cinnamon

I halved this recipe...used a 5.6 oz box of instant couscous w/pinenuts:) Also cut down the olive oil in the dressing(used equal parts vin. and oil). I really enjoyed the salad....sweet, sour, and crunchy. I will make this again!!!!

This is a keeper! I used evaporated milk instead of half and half. It is essential to let dish rest 10 min. before serving; otherwise, you get mush. I also added more apple.

Stuffed Pork Chops with Gorgonzola and Apple

This recipe ROCKS!!!!!! I will make again, but will cut the tyme in half. I used the suggestion of another reviewer by soaking the chops in a brine...that was good advice:) The sauce didn't really get brown, but it was divine. Many thanks!!!!

Lemon Lover's Pound Cake

This is a VERY moist lemon cake, loved it!!!! I did make a different glaze though, as this cake would be out on the counter and sour cream must be refrigerated. I mixed 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of grated lemon peel, and 1 1/2 cups of conf. sugar.

Aunt Edith's Baked Pancake

Aunt Edith knows her pancakes!!!! I fried sausage links, then sauteed them with apple, cherries, and a little green onion. Topped the pancake with above mix and a little maple syrup. Good stuff. I'll probably only use half the salt next time.

Rhubarb Custard Pie II

I've had alot of rhubarb pie since childhood, and thought to try something different. The vanilla overpowered the rhubarb in my opinion. The texture was great....i would omit vanilla next time.

Baked Pork Chops I

Made this one for a small group, and they all loved it. Only complaint is there isn't enough gravy. This dish makes the most juicy pork chops, and it does not have that over processed casserole taste.
