I've been cooking and learning since I was around 11 years old. Boy have a I learned some nono's and some great dishes. I still mess up on recipes from time to time but with time they all improve. I'm currently taking culinary classes at a local college and I'm enjoying it tremendously.
My favorite things to cook
Homemade raviolis, cookies, breads, soups, sauces, appetizers, anything that is bad for you. :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love any holiday where a variety of dishes are made by everyone in the family. It doesn't matter if they match, as long as they taste good. :) I think everyone enjoys it more when it's homemade rather than from the store.
My cooking triumphs
Definitely my raviolis. I got the recipe from my aunt and hers are always glorious so I keep trying to improve. I make mine about 4 inches square and it fills up anyone who eats them.
My cooking tragedies
Too many! Super flat cookies. Cake not coming out of the pans. No flavoring in biscuits.
