About this Cook
I love to cook! I don't know when I really started enjoying it, but I find it relaxing and rewarding. Right after I graduated college, I moved home and had no job or money. I cooked for my parents in order to get an allowance! I used some of my mom's recipes and just adjusted to my own tastes. I love allrecipes and try a new recipe at least once a week!
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook cakes and cheesecakes, although I don't get to all that often. I also like to cook main dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom and my mother-in-law always host all the holiday dinners. I am anxious to start doing it myself!
My cooking triumphs
I made the Tiramisu cheesecake for Valentines Day. This was my first attempt at a cheesecake and using a springform pan. It came out absolutely perfect!
My cooking tragedies
I made 10 pounds of potato salad for Memorial Day and as I was putting the pepper on it, the top came off and the whole jar of pepper spilled in!

Insanely Amazing Jalapeno Cheese Dip
So easy and absolutely delicious!! I really couldn't stop eating this. I served with sourdough bread slices and the hint of jalapeno chips and both were delicious. I made a double batch and have been snacking all day on the leftovers, reheated in the microwave.

Brownie Batter + Cupcake = The SECOND BEST Cupcake. Ever
Really good! I used yellow cake mix and iced with store bought chocolate icing and they were delicious! I will definitely be making these again and again.

Baked Honey Nut Chicken
This was really good. Nice sweet flavor, but not overbearing. I used walnuts, but want to try with pecans next time. A nice change to regular chicken breasts.
