Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: May 22, 2007
Very good. I sauteed the chicken in a little olive oil with the garlic, pepper and salt. I added the rest of ingredients with about 1/2 cup water and simmered about 10 min. Will make again.

Sesame Beef

My family loved this dish. I used a 1 and 3/4 pound sirloin steak. Substitued onion for dried minced onion. Marinated all day. Stir fried for 10 minutes as I like red meat well done, then added fresh sno peas until tender. Next time I will try this with sliced pork tenderloin.

Bloomin' Onion Dipping Sauce

This was very good. Had a little zip to it. Served with jumbo onion rings. Reminded me of the onion ring sauce Burger King used to have (not sure if they still do).

Mexican Layered Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2007
I omitted the guacamole (yuk). I made this for a small party of 4 women and they liked it. Mixed the seasoning packet with the sour cream and added a little more sour cream than the recipe calls for. Not something I'd eat a lot of but would probably make again for another small gathering as it was quick and easy to assemble.

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2007
Very good. I used broccoli instead of spinach. I also used 12 noodles and almost doubled the broth and milk. I also added a small container of cottage cheese. The sauce was soupy when I took the lasagna out of the oven. It may have been the changes I made but the sauce was thick when I assembled the lasagna. This reminded me of chicken/broccoli alfredo. Tasted almost the same.

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2007
Delicious. Per other reviews I added 1 cup milk with 1 TBS cornstarch (whisked together) to thicken. I agree with others that 2 cups heavy cream was not enough and needed more liquid. I used sea scallops cut in half and also cut the red pepper flakes in half. I used dried seasonings. Also sauteed the shrimp and scallops in a little olive oil before I mixed with the sauce. Will make again.

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2007
very good flavor. I didn't pre-cook the beef and I used a can of beef broth instead of the bouillon. I cut everything up the night before and mixed all ingredients together in a large bowl except the peppers and onions and marinated overnight in the fridge. The next morning before work I mixed the peppers and onions with the beef mixture and put in the crockpot. Served with mashed potatoes althought rice or noodles would go with this dish as well. Thanks.

Special Delivery Chicken

This was very rich, creamy and very very good. I diced and cooked the chicken in a little olive oil, pepper and garlic- salt per another review. I baked this for 20 minutes covered and uncovered for 15 minutes. Will make again. :)

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Very delicious. I followed other reviews and doubled the sauce. Good move. Also, made it in a 10" pie crust. Used frozen mixed veggies in place of the others and diced 2 potatoes. Will make again.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2006
Very tasty. Not Cinnabons but close. The center of the buns tasted more like a cinnabon whereas the outer layer was a bit tough. I lowered the temperature to 350 per other reviews and baked for 25 min. The middle buns seemed doughy so I put them back in 5 min longer. The top of the buns looked great but underneath burned a little and was too crispy. Maybe a glass pan would be better. Delicious right out of the oven. Thanks.

AWESOME!! My new favorite drink. Only thing I did different was serve in larger glasses so I added equal amounts of pineapple and cranberry. Delicious!

Fish Tacos

After reading the reviews I thought I would enjoy this. I did except I wasn't crazy about the sauce. My husband liked it. I probably will make again with the exception of the sauce. I'll try to find a different sauce to go with this.

Haddock Au Gratin

I like my fish plain or breaded. I made this for my husband as I thought he'd love it and he did. I thought it was ok. I'd prefer the sauce over lump crab meat. I think next time I'll try that. My husband wants me to make this again.

Banana Peanut Butter Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2006
This was good. I followed another review and only used 1 3/4 cup flour and 3/4 cup peanut butter. Also used 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips. The bread had a mild peanut butter taste. I thought the chocolate chips were a good addition. I baked for 78 minutes. The bread was good and moist but the middle center caved in an inch and I don't know why as the bread was cooked through. Will probably make again if I have the ingredients on hand.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2006
YUM!! We loved this recipe. Per other reviews I used beef broth instead of water. I also omitted the bay leaf as I didn't have any. I used a 2 1/2 pound eye round roast with the same amount of liquid which was fine. I used hoagie rolls and topped beef with roasted red peppers and sauteed mushrooms & onions. Then I topped it off with provolone cheese and stuck under the broiler until the cheese was melted. Can't wait for the leftovers.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
I don't like meatloaf at all but I must admit, this recipe was good. I took advice from other reviewers and put the brown sugar/ketchup mixture on top of the meatloaf. I also omitted the chopped onion for a packet of Lipton onion soup mix. I only used 1/2 cup of milk. I cooked the meatloaf for 1 hour and 25 minutes and the middle was still pink. It was delicious though. I will make again.

EAGLE BRAND® Banana Cream Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
Very good. I used a double broiler per my grandmother's advice to cook the custard. It took about 12 minutes until the custard thickened. I think the bananas were yummy soaked in the lemon juice and you didn't taste the lemon at all.
