About this Cook
I am the mother of 2 always hungry boys and the wife to a husband who loves a hot meal on the table at the end of the day. I get genuine pleasure out of feeding my family and making sure that they are healthy and taken care of. I think I have made many memories for my family with things that I cook.
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new Asian dishes, Mexican food and soups. I also like to make big breakfasts for my kids so that they are off to a good start for their school day.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't have any long standing traditions that I can think of. I am working to make traditions of my own so that my kids will cook for their own children and enjoy it.
My cooking triumphs
My biggest accomplishment is that everything I cook, I have taught myself. I will try a recipe 2 or 3 times until I decide if I really like it or not. I love to tweak things to fit my families likes and dislikes.
My cooking tragedies
Oh, we've had many, many dishes where we've sat down for dinner and looked across the table at each other and asked where we were going to go out to eat. Probably my worst dish is my pot roast. They always come out dry and stringy and my husband hates when I spend $10-$12 to keep trying! Thank goodness I found a great Slow Cooker Pot Roast recipe on allrecipes.com. I love this website!

Baked Pesto Chicken
Very nice flavor and super easy to make. Could easily pass as a fancy meal. I like the chicken pounded super thin or I purchase chicken cutlets.

Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers
So yummy! Fell apart a little bit while grilling but they had a great flavor. I just wish my jalapenos were a little spicier.
