Banana Cake VI

If you are looking for a banana cake recipe, look no further, you've found it!! This recipe is the best banana cake ever, extremely moist. I did have to bake it about 1 1/2 hrs, but it was worth it. This cake is sooo heavy and moist, it is awesome!!

Supreme Strawberry Topping

Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! I made this with blueberries following the same recipe and we used it on homemade vanilla ice cream. Wow!! Definitely a keeper recipe!

Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches

Awesome!! We put in the crockpot and cooked all day on low, then made reuben's for dinner! Melted in our mouths!!! Can't wait for corned beef to go on sale, they will be cooked this way from now on. Super great recipe!

Doreen's Ham Slices on the Grill

Very good recipe!! To keep from having flare-ups on the grill when brushing on the sugary mixture, I just marinated my ham slices in the mixture. We then grilled them. They were great, we all enjoyed them for dinner and plan to do this again. Much better than just plain ole ham slices fried in the skillet.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Yummy!! I've never made rice pudding before, but have an aunt, who just had surgery and is laid up for a while, requested rice pudding. I plan on making another batch for her (had to test the first one myself :p). She will be thrilled. Overall it was easy to make and tastes wonderful!

Best Lemonade Ever

Yum, this really hit the spot and is honestly the best lemonade I have ever drank. I did adjust the sugar a little and used part Splenda, but this was still fantastic!!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

This was very good. Very moist and full of flavor. I too made some changes in the recipe. I used apple cider instead of water, decreased sugar by 1 cup, decreased oil by 1/2 and used apple sauce for the other 1/2. Made mini loaves to sell at a bake sale in 2 days, should be really moist by then. :)

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Excellent!! Hubby made it for dinner tonight and everyone in my family is in agreement that it was great! We used deli sliced ham and 2% milk instead of cream and it is still a 5 star recipe. This will be a regular at in our household now. :D

Crunchy Turkey Salad

Yum Yum!! We had leftover turkey, and I want to make something "different", rather than the same ole things. So, I just finished whipping it up. I didn't let my son see me chopping the apples, he never would of tried it if he knew they were in there, and gave him a sample bite when it was finished. I told him there was a secret ingredient in it... Anyway, he said "this is really good." I then told him and hubby about the apple and walnuts and they both gave it two thumbs up. This one is a keeper!

Apple Cake V

This was pretty good, but I think it could of been a tad bit better. The edges of the cake had soaked up the "sauce" that was poured over it, but the middle pieces just had a slight glaze on top of them. Next time, I plan to poke holes in the top of the cake, before pouring on the sauce. That way the every piece will have that wonderful carmel sauce in it. I also added cinnamon, fresh nutmeg, and raisins too.

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

This recipe is SUPER!! We loved it! My changes: browned the chicken, then simmered in my homemade V-8 juice until the chicken fell apart. I drained it until cool, then shredded it. I then followed the recipe. The pizza's were really, really good! Can't wait to make it again.

Amazingly Good Eggnog

This recipe is really, really good!! Yummmmmmmm!!! I, like another reviewer, slightly curdled my milk/egg yolk mixture while cooking (and I was sooo careful), but I too used my blender to "smooth" it out, and it worked great!! Thank goodness for blenders or I have wasted 16 egg yolks!! (I made a gallon of the egg nog for our card party tonight). I also froze the egg whites for future meringues. I cut down on the rum too, and used spiced rum. Wow, this is a great recipe and it will certainly be a hit tonight!!

Hot German Potato Salad III

Very good recipe, and very easy to prepare. Next time, and there will be a next time, I will cut down on the vinegar just a bit. I did what the other reviewers had suggested, used apple cider vinegar and doubled the sauce. The sauce amount was perfect.

Quiche Lorraine I

Super, Super, Super!!! My family loved this recipe! We added some sliced baby portabella mushrooms too, yummy!! Only one piece left, which I took to work today for lunch. Everyone in the office commented on how good it smelled, they all wanted the recipe. :)
