These truly are simple and delicious. I followed the recipe exactly and was not disappointed. My family ate the entire pan within hours. They are easier to cut (and less likely to fall apart) if you wait for them to cool but it's hard to resist when they look/smell so good. Thanks for such a fantastic recipe!

I made this for an office potluck and my co-workers could not stop raving about it. The cream cheese mixture was quite thick which meant that there wasn't much of a swirl effect but it still tasted delicious. It is a dense bread but that's exactly what I was looking for. This is a great recipe! I didn't make any changes and the dough was very easy to work with after chilling. I made these over the holidays and received many compliments (even from people who don't normally like gingerbread). I baked them for about 6 minutes in order to get a chewy cookie and I was not disappointed. The cookies still tasted fresh days later - a definite keeper!
