Chocolate Cookie Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
This was very good and very easy. My only "complaint".....way too much filling (both w/the cream cheese mixture and the sour cream one). I could have easily made two pies w/the the extra stuff. I used oreo cookies for the crust and left the cookies in the middle fairly large at the suggestion of another user. Several people complimented the cake and said it was the best they had ever had!!! Will definitely be making this again.

Salisbury Steak

The best salisbury steak recipe on this site. I replace the onion soup w/ beef broth and add onion powder. I do double the sauce and serve over rice. Bit hit in my house.

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
These were very easy and very good....the first day! After that, they got hard and weren't very good unless you pop them in the microwave for a minute. Since my daughter was selling these for a fundraiser, she was selling them in individual baggies and they didn't keep well that way. Next time, I"ll store is a ziploc bag w/bread for moisture.

I'm giving it 4 stars because I like them. But unfortunately, no one else did. I followed the recipe exactly, so not quite sure if I screwed up or if everyone else is.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
I made 2 batches of this yesterday. One batch I pretty much followed the recipe except did add 1 tsp. of vanilla and used the Lite Cool Whip and Fat Free/Sugar free instant pudding. The 2nd batch, I used 2 sm. containers of Cool Whip Free and FF/SF Instant Butterscotch pudding! The 2nd batch was even better!!!! Everyone that had it loved it and wanted the recipe. This is the easiest sweet appetizer I've ever made! Thank you!!!!

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Not sure how it tasted since I don't like Chocolate but it looked AMAZING. The people I made it for loved it. The only thing I did different was add some chocolate chip cookies (they were broken bits that were in the freezer) to the layers with the brownies and then used full cookies to line the top of the dish like I saw on the recipe for Chocolate Chip Trifle on this site. Very easy and looks impressive!

Twice-Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
I thought these were really good and really easy. I used instant mashed potatoes made w/out butter and skim milk, green onion instead of the onion and green peppers. Did not saute the onion to omit the oil. Used FF cheese and turkey bacon to help lighten up the recipe. It was very good!!! The cheese just gets heated instead of really melting but my picky family loved it. Will definitely make again.

Peanut Butter Popcorn

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
This was excellent. I made a few adjustments hoping to make it a little less fattening. I may have succeeded at it but it doesn't make a difference if I eat the entire bowl. I air popped popcorn to fill a Tupperware THATSA Bowl about 3/4 full (appx 1 1/3 cup of kernels). I used a full jar of marshmallow creme, 3/4 stick of I Can't believe Its not Butter and a little less than a small jar of Reduced Fat Peanut Butter. Substituted Splenda Brown Sugar (appx. 3/4 cup). I didn't bake it but next time will as it was a bit chewy but everyone else who ate it thought it was perfect. Already made a 2nd batch. You really can adjust the quantities of ingredients to your liking. Cut back on brown sugar if too sweet, add PB if you like flavor. Very good basic recipe though.

Lisa's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
I took the advice of another user and made sugar free and fat free substitutions. I was going to a party where the majority of attendees are on WW. It was EXCELLENT!!!!! Very moist. Could not tell it was Reduced fat. Everyone asked for the recipe. Had to cook longer than the 38 minutes that the other user got though. More like 50 minutes.

Double Chocolate Mocha Trifle

Reviewed: May 4, 2007
This was so incredibly easy!!!!!! Made the brownies in the morning and assembled the rest in the afternoon. I should have doubled everything because my trifle dish is deep (appx 6 inches. It was beautiful to look at it. I placed thin slices of brownie around the outside of the dish and then used the cake part to fill in the middle. Gave it a more defined layerd look.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
I should have given it 5 stars but since only my husband tried it, I'm giving it four. This was the first pumpkin pie I had ever made and the night before making this, my aunt, who is the equivalent of Martha Stewart, told me I had ruined my pie by adding Sweetened condensed milk. Said it should have been Evaporated milk. By then, I had thrown out the piece of paper I had this recipe on and looked thru cookbooks to find she was correct that most pumpkin pies do have Evap. milk. So I did not serve this pie to anyone even though it was beautiful!!!! My husband then tried the pie a couple days later and said it was "Wonderful!!!" better than the one I actually served! Easy for my first pie too!!

I love easy holiday cookies and this one is by far the easiest!!! I made 1/2 of these with pb cups and then 1/2 with mini-snickers (smaller than bite sized). They were a huge hit at cookie exchange. Thank you!

So very easy and yummy!!! I followed directions to a T. Tonight I am going to make again and add some crushed almonds to the frosting. You could do this w/out the vanilla chips, but it looks pretty with them. THANK YOU!!!

Hidden Mint Morsels

I thought it was a lot of steps and time consuming for the end result. They were difficult to roll so not sure if I needed more flour or what happened. Will probably not try again but will give anyone my address who would send them to me, they look delicious!

Eggnog Cookies III

I did not try these but I had lots of comments on them from eggnog lovers. I liked them because they were very easy to make and I liked the long baking so I could get other stuff done while waiting. Thanks for the recipe!
