I'm a working mom with 2 boys aged 9 and 14. My husband works away, so basically I'm a single mom most of the time. I'm always looking for quick, healthy, kid-pleasing meals for those very busy weeknights. Anything that doesn't take a lot of time that my kids will eat. (sometimes an almost impossible task!) Thanksgiving and Christmas. Turkey and all of the trimmings. Mastering my granny's pastry. Trying to cook a mushroom gravy in a double boiler without the double boiler. I used 2 pots and the explosion was spectacular. Thank goodness I was the only one hurt. Kind of put a damper on Thanksgiving when the cook had to spend the evening in the emergency room but that was many years ago now...
