These are great! I used a mixture of white chips and regular chocolate chips.

Simple Country Ribs

These were delicious! I cut the amount of BBQ sauce in half using only one bottle for 2.5 lbs. of ribs.

Veggie Skewers

Very good. I would probably marinate the veggies for a few minutes ahead of time when I make it again.

Greek Souzoukaklia

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
I found this to be a little bland, which is unusual for me since I don't like a huge amount of spices. I really liked the sweetness of the raisins, so I will increase the raisins (which I added whole) and maybe some more spice. Maybe the difference was the fact I didn't have fresh parsley, so I used dried. It was a nice way to use ground beef without having burgers.

Grilled Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
Preparing corn this way was absolutely delicious! Even though I added butter and salt to the corn before grilling, it still needed more while eating. It was so good that I cooked the remaining corn cobs to be frozen for winter enjoyment.

Iced-Spiced Ginger Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
I didn't find that I needed to add any extra water to the icing. I actually had to add some extra icing sugar. When it was all done, it got a huge smile of approval from my husband. It's a good way to use up the leftover coffee since neither one of us are coffee drinkers.

Old Fashioned Pound Cake with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
I made this for a small group of people and almost everyone commented on how good it was. I used margarine instead of butter and it turned out well. I used a different raspberry sauce, though.

Cheesy Chicken and Potato Casserole

I used chicken breasts that were already cooked, which cut down on the time needed for preparation.

Apple Oatmeal Crisp

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
Like others have done, I reduced the sugar to 1/4 cup and it was still too sweet. I prefer to have more fruit and less crust, so this recipe is not my favourite apple crisp.

Deep-Dish Chicken Potpie

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
I would take the advice of the others and pre-cook the carrots and potatoes for 10 minutes. I thought I could cut the carrots very thin and the potatoes into small cubes, but some were cooked and some weren't. I was pleased with the crust. I don't have great success with pastry, but this turned out. I ended up using a 3 quart casserole dish because 2 quarts was too small, especially with adding extra vegetables.

Peppermint Meringue Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
These cookies were really good. I'm not a big candy cane fan, but I liked these. I didn't have any cider vinegar, so I just used regular white vinegar. I even read the recipe incorrectly and instead of using 1/3 of the total candy cane, I put in 1/3 cup and they were still good.

I thought this was quite good. My husband did not like it as much since there was more egg than he cares for.

Sweet 'N' Sour Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2007
My husband and I both really enjoyed this recipe. Most stir fry dishes I've made don't have enough sauce, but this one had plenty. I didn't have any chicken broth, so I used Campbell's condensed vegetable broth diluted with one can of water. I had some broth left over which I used instead of water to cook the instant rice that we put the stir fry on.

These potatoes were pretty good. I personally found them to be a bit sour, but I'm not a huge sour cream fan. The in-laws and husband enjoyed them, though.

Three Berry Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
This pie was very good. All of my in-laws commented on how much they enjoyed it. I used 1/4 cup starch as others had suggested, which set it up nicely. The berries I used were frozen and even though I let them sit for 30 minutes, they didn't soften at all and as a result, there was a lot of loose powder (sugar & starch). However, everything blended well. Personally, I like my pies a bit sweeter and thinner, so I will probably increase the sugar and decrease the starch the next time.

Berry Cornmeal Cake

I was disappointed in this recipe. It didn't cook in the middle although the sides were done. I did finish cooking it in the microwave and it was fine after that. I like it best heated with ice cream.
