About this Cook
I am a work at home single . I am a homebody and never get out much. I enjoy creating things. Especially in the kitchen. I love to entertain at my house by cooking.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite dishes to cook would be gumbo(cajun style), pot roast, and spaghetti. I also enjoy making my special chocolate chip peanut butter cookies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have no family cooking traditions since my family are not big cooks.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumph is making bread.
My cooking tragedies
I made this casserole for my mom and stepdad when I was younger. It called for cabbage. Well I used purple cabbage and it ended up turning my eggs blue.

Corn and Black Bean Salad
OMG! I AM a huge fan of balsamic vinegar but with this recipe it was too much. I like the idea of this recipe really I do. I think when I make this next time I will totally omit the balsamic vinegar. Stick with the seasonings and olive oil.

Crisp Anise Seed Butter Cookies
I knew I would like these cookies but I was unsure of my son because of the licorice taste of anise seed but he loves them! Way too go. I will be making these more often

Home Style Macaroni and Cheese
I made a few changes to this recipe. Instead of regular cheddar, I used white sharp cheddar and instead of bread crumbs used ritz crackers. I also added a little bit more salt and pepper. It came out fabulous. I think I will keep this one going.
