Giant Ginger Cookies

Made the dough and have not baked yet, the dough tastes awesome though! Loved these, they were really flat though, not sure why, maybe make with 1/2 shortening next time. Great flavor!

Triple the Ginger Cookies

I did not have enough of the candied ginger, but otherwise thought these were good. Be careful when adding fresh ginger, the little stringy pieces can be quite unappetizing.

Wheat Crackers

the recipe by itself would not work. I added 1 cup vegetable broth, 1/4 cup sugar, poppy seed, sesame seeds, and some cracked wheat. Would add 1 teaspoon of salt next time. Also brushed the tops with oil and plenty of kosher salt.

Navy Bean Soup

I was a little skeptical when I first made this because it didn't have a lot of flavor. But the next day it was very good. I should have cut open the skins on the ham hocks too. Very cheap, satisfying soup.

Strawberry Cake I

This cake was delightfully flavorful and moist. I used the french vanilla cake mix and frozen strawberries which I drained first. Also made the whipped cream cream cheese frosting, and will use a more traditional cream cheese frosting next time.

Italian Walnut-Raisin Whole-Wheat Bread

This had such great levels of flavor. I need to make the loaf a little tighter so that it doesn't turn out quite as flat. Also, ended up adding quite a bit more flour, the mixture was wet, maybe not so much liquid next time.

French Dip Sandwiches w/ au Jus

Wow, this was awesome! The flavor of the juice is out of this world. I will definitely be making this again. The meat I used was the only bad thing, I will try beef tenderloin or deli meat next time. Used home made baguettes for sandwich.

French Baguettes

Although not a hard crusted recipe for a traditional baguette, these loaves had easy to work with dough (did not use the bread machine), and the texture was light and airy. Nice!
