About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Anything with chocolate, I love Thai food but I have not yet been able to make anything decent. My husband and I love to make cookies and cakes and we hope we don't become diabetic :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family loves desserts, at holidays there is always a great selection to choose from.
My cooking triumphs
I can make cheesecake that tastes as good as the Cheesecake Factory!
My cooking tragedies
I always make my Panang curry too spicy... I once made a loaf of french bread that was as hard as a rock, you could use it as a weapon.

Lentil Soup
Very good, I used the whole 16oz of lentils and only one large onion and only 4 cups of chicken broth because of the expense. All I had on hand was a large can of whole stewed tomatoes which I used juice and all. I used about a tsp of dried parsley instead of fresh. This was very good, will definitely make again, maybe will try with veggie broth to try out a vegetarian version next time

Germantown Cookies
One of my new favorite recipes! These are delicious! I didn't have orange zest so I used 1 tsp of lemon juice. I don't know if that really did anything. I also added 1 c of semi-sweet chocolate chips because we are chocolate freaks over here :) Topped with sprinkles to decorate for the holidays. Thanks for sharing :)

Eggplant Pasta Bake
This was very good, we did not have the chili pepper though. We added 1 can diced tomatoes and 1/2 tsp each of basil and oregano. Will make again and maybe add spinach for more color :)
