About this Cook
Hi! My name is Tina and I live in Ohio. I am married to a wonderful man and I am currently a homemaker, which gives me a ton of time to cook. I also love to paint, sculpt and swim. I have a grown step daughter, two cats and two playful pugs I spoil rotten.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook and do so about 6 nights per week. Sometimes it is as simple as panini's and other times I make a four course meal. I am lucky that my husband will eat just about anything I put in front of him so I can experiement a lot. I love to cook Italian, Mexican and Asian food. I also like to make traditional american comfort food but in a modern, healthier way.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every single Sunday morning my Mom would make a huge pot of spaghetti sauce and anyone who showed up could eat dinner. We would have anywhere from 5-30 people on any given Sunday. While I don't do that any longer, I do love to make my Mom's "Sunday Sauce" and it always reminds me of home.
My cooking triumphs
I am really good at cooking without recipes most of the time. I would say that 95% of the time I cook it comes out great.
My cooking tragedies
I have yet to master or even correctly use yeast. This is something I plan to correct this winter.

Easy Broccoli Quiche
This is a good basic recipe. I used a homemade crust, added ham and used cheddar cheese as that is what I had on hand.

No Bake Deluxe Hamburger Cookies
I made many changes to this recipe...but it is fun. I used the Keebler Fudge Shoppe, Carmel filled cookies and the flavor profile is much more palatable than the mint cookies. I used coconut for the lettuce, red and yellow icing tubes for the ketchup and mustard. They were a huge hit at the last BBQ.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
These are good. I think they had a little too many chocolate chips in them and I am a huge chocoholic so for me to say that is very surprising. Make sure to whip the butter and sugar until it is light and fluffy so your cookies don't deflate.
