Sour Cream Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
I followed this recipe exactly and there was just too much liquid. I did use sage for seasoning. I just thought this should have been more flavoful. Maybe use real chicken broth instead?

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
This is a keeper. I made for my husbands birthday and recieved request for the receipe. Nice flavor with not to much garlic. I was looking for a recipe where garlic did not take over and this was perfect. I did not have the smooth dijon mustard on hand rather the "grainy" style and that was perect it added a nice look when serving and it was a nice background flavor.

Sour Cream Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
My nieces enjoyed these cookies far more than I did, so in that aspect it is a keeper if they ask me to make again however I do not have plans to do so. The amount of flour overwhelms the taste of the cookie, I used vanilla bean paste to add more flavor and rolled the cookies in colored sugar for the holidays and still a very bland, soft cookie.

Raspberry Tea Punch

This recipe is good as a whole. I would suggest that you puree the rapberries and then strain the juice. as the frozen rapberries quickly fell apart and you find yourself with alot! of seeds floating in your drink

Tzatziki Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2008
I followed other reviewer's advice and used 1/2 yogurt and 1/2 sour cream. I forgot to bring my food processor ( I made at my sisetr's) so I chopped everything finely and we used it immediately. My brother-in-law and my husband liked the "chunky" texture. It started out nice and thick however it then turned runny(but still very good) I am going to keep this recipe and this time make a trip to the speciality market for good greek yougurt and give that a try. No matter still a keeper.

Sparkling Punch

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2008
I made this punch for the holidays and when I went to the grocery store I forgot my list so I had to "wing it" and for some reason I could have sworn the recipe called for limes and when I reread I saw that it didn't. I still put them in the punch bowl with everything else it made a nice presentation. I did not add all the sugar at one time I added to taste and did not end of using all of it. I would suggest keeping all ingredients on hand I had to make a couple of bowlfuls, definetly a keeper.

Chocolate Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
I had a recipe similar to this years ago and misplaced it. I am glad I stumbled upon this one. It is one of the only ones I found that does not call for the addition of coffee. (call me crazy) I do not enjoy the flavor of chocolate and coffee. This is a moist cake (careful do not overbake) with a nice texture. I do make a chocolate glaze and pour over the top, very chocolatey.

White Chocolate Fudge Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
This was the best recipe I could have stumbled upon. I was in a pinch and needed to make a dessert and I wanted to use what was already in the pantry. All I had was french vanilla cake mix which was fine because I just happened to have french vanilla whipped topping. I did not have any canned frosting so I threw together a simple buttercream frosting from powder sugar butter and canned milk. It looked a little "blah" in the pan so I toasted some coconut and threw that on top. I recived a lot of raves about this one.

Perfect Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
this is a great recipe it will definetly become my go to cake. I like the idea of the filling between the layers the creaminess of the heavy cream added an almost luxuirious change rather than traditional frosting throughout the entire cake. I received alot of compliments and rave reviews. A definte keeper

White Chocolate Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
This is a very easy recipe to make. I have made it several times as is without changing with one exception the last time I made it. I did not have a enough white chocolate on hand so I searched through the pantry and all I had was white chocolate truffle candy, so I melted that in the microwave and drizzled over the top with the milk chocolate and WOW it was an even bigger hit. This cake does not last very long anywhere I take it.

Cheese Straws

I followed this recipe to the letter and it was impossible to get it to hold together. I gave in to frustration and added a beaten egg to the mixture and finally I was able to get the mix to hold together. Do not believe will be making again.

Killer Cheesecake

This is a great recipe for cheesecake with a graham cracker crust. Ok maybe it is just me I could not find a 8x12 pan. I am just going to try a 9x13 next time. I love the sour cream topping. Even my niece ate it.

Delicious Shrimp Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2006
Unfortunately I was just not that pleased with how this recipe turned out. It calls for at least 3 more teaspoons of salt beyond the worcestire sauce which is already high in sodium. All I could tast was the "saltiness". One can of shrimp is not nearly enough I added two and would have considered 3. If I do decide to try again will cut way back on the salt and use fresh parsley to replace the dried.

Texas Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2006
This was a big hit I received a quesadila maker for chirstmas and put it to good use. My finance loved the carmelized onions. What really makes this recipe is your choice of barbeque sauce. Make sure you use a good quality one and as serious discussions with my finance have ended, barbeque sauce preference is a personal choice.

Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2006
I have finally found the best chocolate chip cookies reciepe ever! This is a defenite keeper. I was first a little leary of using "maragarine" to bake with however I am so glad I did I defientely think the margarine is what made the taste. I did cut back on the chocolate chips, like other reviewers and instead used the jumbo chocolate chips instead.
