About this Cook
I love to expermiment making new dishes. my family is always "accusing" me of making "exotic" foods that are soooo fancy.
My favorite things to cook
I have a huge sweet tooth so I love to bake. I have a weakness for cakes or cookies. I love to give food items for gifts during the holiday. I really look forward to the holiday season just so I can make some tried and true recipes as well as discover new ones
My favorite family cooking traditions
My background is a deep southern traditional way of cooking.
My cooking triumphs
I get requests for the recipes of some of the things I make and a lot of complements.
My cooking tragedies
I still have some misses with my baking. For example some times my cakes come out soooo dry

Tzatziki Sauce
I followed other reviewer's advice and used 1/2 yogurt and 1/2 sour cream. I forgot to bring my food processor ( I made at my sisetr's) so I chopped everything finely and we used it immediately. My brother-in-law and my husband liked the "chunky" texture. It started out nice and thick however it then turned runny(but still very good) I am going to keep this recipe and this time make a trip to the speciality market for good greek yougurt and give that a try. No matter still a keeper.

Sparkling Punch
I made this punch for the holidays and when I went to the grocery store I forgot my list so I had to "wing it" and for some reason I could have sworn the recipe called for limes and when I reread I saw that it didn't. I still put them in the punch bowl with everything else it made a nice presentation. I did not add all the sugar at one time I added to taste and did not end of using all of it. I would suggest keeping all ingredients on hand I had to make a couple of bowlfuls, definetly a keeper.
