About this Cook
I love to eat great food and have been in the kitchen since I was a little girl. I'm fortunate to be married to a man who will eat anything I put in front of him and will give me honest feedback.
My favorite things to cook
Anything Italian! Since I'm trying to lose weight (aren't we all?), I'm also learning to cook "lighter" and also more vegetarian meals (I can't get rid of meat...but we're definitely eating more veggies in this house!).
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is Italian and I lived in Italy for a while, so many of the dishes I make have an Italian flare. My parents had us kids in the kitchen at an early age, so we all learned to cook and all have different strengths. My youngest brother is a Master at the BBQ while my oldest sister is excellent with any Asian dish. Dad always cooked the gourmet dishes growing up while Mom made the essential comfort foods.

White Bean Tabbouleh
This was okay, but I found the parsley overwhelming (I realize that's how Tabbouleh is supposed to be, so I guess I'm not a big fan of parsley). The second time I made it, I doubled the spinach and garlic and halved the parsley and that did the trick for us. This is a great summer meal, nice and light. Tasted great the next day in my lunch, too!

Blueberry Oat Cookies
Very good. Hubby liked the cinnamon with the blueberries. This makes a really small batch, so they disappeared quickly. Normally I prefer lemon flavor with blueberries, but this was a nice alternative.

Raspberry Squares II
I can't give this recipe 5 stars because it didn't knock my socks off. However, my husband thought they were delicious. It's a very simple recipe with few ingredients, so for that, it's definitely worth 4 stars.
