I am a small town stay at home mother of two who loves to make my family happy with good food and tasty treats. I am the youngest of 11 kids and I make a lot of the same meals that my mother made when I was growing up, and her mother made them the same way when she was little. I love to bake, especially cakes and cookies. I also love to try new things. I like making a good hot homemade meal on a cold winter day! One of the first things that comes to mind when I think of holidays as a child is cooking and baking with my family. I especially remember spending a whole day making Christmas cookies with my 10 brothers and sisters as well as many nieces and nephews. Any time I make a meal or dessert that recieves compliments, I feel I have triumphed! When I look around the table and see my family enjoying what I made, it gives me pleasure. When I was first married, I made corned beef and cabbage for dinner. I didn't know that my husband hated cabbage until I saw him trying to eat it and almost gagging in the process! Needless to say, I haven't made it since!
