About this Cook
I am a new stay at home mom of two. I work at my church. I volunteer at a local shelter. I love to read and I am learning to sew.
My favorite things to cook
I love making hispanic inspired food. Anything with some heat is great.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I make my beef stew the way my grandmother made hers. I also make my fathers beef pyramid recipe. My family loves these recipes.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made dumplings that didn't feel like rocks.
My cooking tragedies
I made a batch of cookies for the first time by myself and I didn't pay attention to the time. They were burnt to a crisp.

Gorditas
The Gorditas were very easy to make. When flattening them, I used a heavy skillet to make them uniform in shape and size. We stuffed them with shredded beef, tomatoes, and sauteed onions. Yummy!!!!!
