Cranberry Apple Pie III
About this Cook
Both my parents are wonderful cooks, however my mother announced to me several years ago that she never really liked to cook and that floored me. I asked her how she could have been so good at something she didn't really like and she said it just had to be done. I love to cook and experiment with different things. Some dishes I put together without a recipe, just because I think it will sound good and I don't have too many rejects. I consider myself lucky to have a family that will go along with this experimentation.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook quick dishes with natural ingredients. I do a lot of my cooking from scratch for the health of my family.

Zesty Pantry Potato Stew
I tried this recipe yesterday. This did not turn out well at all, it may have been because I left out the TVP (I have a friend who won't eat soy). The carrots were only half cooked, but this wasn't all bad because I don't like mushy carrots anyway. I gave this recipe four stars because I think I messed this one up. The ingredients look so yummy together, but I will probably not try this again. Don't give up on this recipe because of my adjustment with the TVP.

Cream of Broccoli Soup V
This soup ROCKS!! I am not a fan Broccoli, but do like Broccoli Cheese Soup and this recipe is the Best! I had to use powdered milk instead of milk/cream that this recipe called for, but the taste was marvelous. I used a pressure cooker to soften the broccoli and continued as the directions indicated. I think I will double the recipe next time so I have some to put in the freezer.

Saucy Chops I
This is EXCELLENT!! I did add a little zip to my mine. I seasoned the chops with salt & red pepper before coating with flour. Once I removed the chops from the pan I added 2 cloves of crushed garlic. The soup/water consistancy was good, not too thin. We will have this again. I have a Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker so cooking time was only 15 minutes once all ingredients were returned to the pan.
