Tasty and easy. It took me awhile to save that many bones, it is nice and dark and full of flavor.

I should be called a cinnamon cream syrup - it is allllll kinds of tasty and better than any other cinnamon syrup I've tried!

Pumpkin Cake III

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
Made this for Thanksgiving for dessert for my pie-hating daughter. She loved this (as did many others). I was generous with the spices and iced with a whipped cream cheese frosting. I'll make again because my daughter was so pleased to have a dessert when it is usually just all pies!

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
My DD has decided she likes chai tea. She gave this 5 stars and thumbs up. Cardamon is crazy expensive.... but I thought this would probably still be cheaper (and better)than a store bought mix.

Kickin' London Broil with Bleu Cheese Butter

This was so good! The steak was wonderful, I cooked slow on the grill and cut thinly. The butter was the proverbial cherry on top. YUM!

Roquefort Dressing II

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
Very good! My first try at making home-made blue cheese dressing, and it makes me wish I'd made up a batch of hot wings to go with them! As another reviewer mentioned, it is more dip like - so for what I used on my salad I just thinned out a bit with milk. I used low-fat mayo and light sour cream, and my container of blue cheese (not roquefort, just regular blue cheese) was only 4 oz. It was perfect for me, but I know others probably prefer it cheesier. Thanks for sharing!!!!

No More Salty Easter Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
I always say I don't really care for ham and I've never actually made a decent ham in my life. This recipe changed that! My kids requested ham for Christmas dinner - and this was fantastic. The first time I basted it was sorta yucky, the milk had started to curdle, the second time the ham juices had taken over and it was much better. Just a word to the wise, don't expect the juices to be able to be thickened into any kind of sauce or glaze.

Sharon's Awesome Chicago Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
This was a pretty tasty version of chili. I thought it maybe had too much of a sloppy joe feel (maybe because I use Jeff's Sloppy Joes from this site which also uses chili sauce). It made too much for my small family, so I froze the leftover which I later added to a more traditional chili recipe and was gobbled down. Thanks!

Italian Herb Bread I

This smelled so good when I was mixing it up and then the baking... ahhhh... the baking - divine! It tasted great too, a nice moist interior with tons of flavor. I used shredded parm, because it was what I had. Thanks!

Marbled Almond Roca

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2007
he taste of this is sooooo good. The recipe calls for a 15x10 pan, I could not get mine to spread that thin at all - so I ended up with almonds that didn't have any thing on them. So, I tried to scoop them up on get them into the mix before it was too late! I didn't get a very pretty marbled effect either - I will try to make it pretty next time. I also had to cook it for a good 20-25 minutes on medium heat (stirring quite often) to get to 300 degrees (also tested with the ice water test). Next time I will start on a smaller pan and I think I will be happier. I am going to have to give it away ASAP so I don't eat it all!

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2007
The best for what it is...a homey comfort dish. The only different I did was add some minced garlic and a couple splashes of Worcestershire sauce when I was adding the ground beef. I went against popular opinion and added the complete 8 oz. of cream cheese (Neufchatel actually). May picker eater cleaned her plan sans mushrooms. The good eater exclaimed "this is good". Thanks!

It was okay. Definitely needed the added chicken broth. Even though my kids are used to a little spice, this wasn't a hit with them. Thanks.

Creamy Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
This was a nice salad. I added some more fruit (bananas & grapes). I found the dressing to be quite orange-y and wanted to cut it down a little bit, so I folded in some fat-free cool whip. In turn, it was a little bit too much dressing (even though I added extra fruit and didn't make more dressing). When I'm asked to bring a fruit salad again, I'll use this recipe.

Apple Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
This was good - although next time I think I'll take other reviews advice and fold the apples into the batter. I didn't like the way it look with the apples in layers. I used 1 cup splenda, 2/3 cup brown sugar and 1/2 applesauce/1/2 oil. I'll definitely make it again!
