Bread Pudding II
I bought Panettone (Italian sweet bread with candied fruits) at a discount store for $1.00 and thought I'd use it for this recipe. Yummo! Because Panettone has a lot of fat, and some sugar in it, I decided I would change the recipe a bit so it wouldn't be so fattening. I used fat free half and half instead of the milk, 1/2 cup sugar, two whole eggs and two egg whites. I didn't add the melted butter. Everything else in the recipe I kept the same. I recommend using the Panettone, especially for x-mas. You will be very impressed and so will your guests.

Soft Christmas Cookies
I am giving this recipe five stars because I did do some tweeking and they came out excellent. I followed others' advice and used butter and 3 cups of flour. Instead of using vanilla extract, I used one vanilla bean, and 1/4 tsp of almond extract. Cut them into heart shapes and sprinkled with sugar before baking. The flavor was awesome. I think the next time I make them, I will use 1/2 butter and 1/2 butter flavored shortening, that way they wont' spread as much.

Easy Sugar Cookies
I am a pastry chef always looking for different variations on cookies and this is by far the best. I used 1/2 cup of butter and 1/2 cup of butter flavored shortening(the shortening prevents the cookies from spreading). I used an ice cream scoop, rolled them into a ball and rolled in sugar. Next time, I think I may add some lemon or orange zest. Will probably make this again but roll out and cut into hearts for valentines day and frost. Very Good!
