About this Cook
I am a Stay at Home Mom of three kiddos. Cooking is something that I have been passionate about for a while now. My husband is great to be my taste tester. I have recently gained interest in cake decorating but I am having a hard time finding the time to get into it too much.
My favorite things to cook
I have too many to list here.
My cooking triumphs
I hosted my families Thanksgiving dinner for the first time in 2007 and it was a success.
My cooking tragedies
I made a carrot cake for my daughters 2nd birthday and I was rushed so I didn't let the layers cool completely before I iced them and the whole cake cracked down the middle and resembled a volcano. The cake tasted great but looked awful.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken
This recipe is great for someone who works outside the home and needs dinner ready when they come home. Since I am a stay at home mom I prefer roasting a chicken in the oven for better flavor. When I made this recipe I followed some advice from other reviewers. I cut an onion in half for the chicken to rest on and added 1 cup chicken broth. I put butter under the skin and seasoned with motreal chicken seasoning inside and out. I also put 3 cloves of garlic and some celery in the chicken. Half way through the cooking I checked on the chicken and it was almost covered in liquid. I did not want a boiled chicken so drained most of the liquid of and added some cut up potatoes and carrots to the bottom and finished cooking the chicken. My husband liked the chicken but I thought that it lacked flavor and reminded me of boiled chicken. So if I maked this again I will not add any liquid before cooking since the chicken make its own liquid.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge
Yummy, Yummy! This was great! I do have to say that quality of chocolate that use makes a hudge differance in how the fudge tastes. I will definately be making this again every christmas. I think that I may try using peanut butter chips instead of chocolate chips to see how that turns out.

Grandma's Peanut Butter Fudge
I guess I did something wrong because I followed the recipe exactly and the end result was way to soft for me. The flavor was good though. I had to keep it in the freezer to keep it from melting in your hands while you were eating it. I had made a differant recipe for chocolate fudge just before I made this and it turned out great so I am not sure what happened.
