Broccoli Barley Soup

This turned out bland. Had to add quite a bit of salt. It might be better with cheddar cheese.

I made this soup in the crock pot. I used 1 lb of asparagus and four cups of veggie broth instead of the bullion and water. I also used 1 cup of fat free 1/2 and 1/2 with 3/4 cups milk and added the cheese in instead of using it as garnish. This turned out very creamy and delicious. The trick is not to put the 1/2 and 1/2 and milk mixture in until after the veggies are cooked (about 5 to 6 hours on high). Then add milk mixture and let cook on low for about 30 minutes. Add the cheese just before serving.

Sourdough Bread

This is not sourdough bread as far as I'm concerned. Tastes nothing like true sourdough. It's decent white bread, but way to much work for the yield.

Fresh Pear Bread

I love this! I drained my pears since they were really ripe...but in the end I needed the water, so I guess if I'd have not drained the pears and left out the water it would've been ok too. This is kind of more like cake then bread to me, but it's delish! Thanks! :))

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Awesome! The meat was nice and tender, the au jus was very tasty and also went great on the mashed potatoes! I didn't use the entire amount of garlic...just a personal preference. I only used 1 tblsp. This is a great recipe, everyone in the family loved it. Thanks!
