About this Cook
I'm a 31 year old female who loves to cook for my friends and family. I am an avid photographer and food is often the subject of my photos.
My favorite things to cook
I'm known for my burgers and grilled shrimp...always being asked to make them. I love to try new recipes out on family and friends but always go back to the "old stand bys" of grilled meat, my Pop-Pop's beefaroni and swedish meatballs. I've recently begun baking, so this is opening me up to a whole new world!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up watching my Pop-Pop make beefaroni and I have finally perfected his recipe! I've learned a lot from my parents, each of them has their own style of cooking. Mom is a long, drawn out cook and Dad is more of "30 Minute Meals" kind of cook (except when it comes to his BBQ or smoker!).

Broccoli and Ramen Noodle Salad
Very tasty salad! I've used different flavors of Ramen, with and without sesame seeds, peanuts and almonds. I usually add a little celery if I have it on hand and almost always add a splash sesame oil. I agree that the longer it sits, the better.

Asian Lettuce Wraps
This was AMAZING! Instead of ground beef I used ground chicken and it was SO GOOD! I also used regular iceberg lettuce instead of Bib. I was cooking many things with this and cooked it a bit too long so it wasn't as 'saucy'...next time I will cook it a minute or two less. Nothing wrong with the recipe, just a busy cook! My entire family LOVED this and asked for seconds. This is also tasty served over rice.

Asian Pork Tenderloin
Soooo tasty! Very simple to make, although mine took longer to cook, so be sure to have a thermometer on hand.
