Used to work as a children's illustrator, now I'm a stay-at-home wife soon-to-be mama! I am not much of a cook but would like to be. Now that we are expecting a baby I am trying to get better with the "home arts" and have found a lot of exciting recipes on this site. easy! :-) things that don't have exotic, hard to find ingredients, yet are tasty and healthy. Hubby is a Marine and always concerned about staying in shape and eating healthy. my dad's family is from the South - very traditional Southern cooking. Mom's family is from SoCal - I grew up eating lots of Mexican food and loving it! anytime a new recipe comes out edible. Well, there's a lot...There was the time I tried to make fortune cookies - couldn't even roll out the dough it was so hard. I had all these little slips of paper with my "fortunes" I had all printed out and cut and ready to put in my cookies! I was SO disappointed!
