Bourbon Pecan Chicken
I belong to a a neighbourhood group that get together each month for a dinner party each month a different person hosts dinner, this month was my turn. We are always looking for new ideas to impress our guests. So I thought I would go for a Southern-themed meal. The chicken was a huge success, everyone asked for the recipe and they wondered how a full time mom could throw together such a gourmet meal for 10. This recipe was probably the best chicken I have ever had, one of my friends pulled me aside to say that the meal was the best she had ever had in her entire life. I don't spend a lot of time in the kitchen but this looked easy and yummy. I served it with a spinach salad with snow peas, candied pecans and a poppy seed dressing as a starter, then with the chicken green beens and butternut squash. For dessert a carrot cake (ok bought this as I am not a baker) anyway love love love this recipe. Two thumbs up!
