Whole Wheat Honey Bread

just made this, turned out fabulous! I added 3 TBS dough enhancer (vital wheat gluten) as recommended by others. Also didn't have dry powdered milk, so put in 1/8 cup milk and only 1 cup water. Will definitely be making this frequently.

Chocolate Cheesecake Flan

fantastic! We have a local restaurant (cafe rio) that has a chocolate cheesecake flan, that I have been trying to find a recipe for. This is it! Wonderful! I did substitute chocolate chips for the bakers chocolate since I didn't have any. And I topped with strawberries and whipped cream instead of chocolate.

Stuffed Peppers My Way

These were pretty good! Growing up my Mom would make stuffed peppers but they were cooked in tomato sauce, I think that's why it wasn't quite right for me, I wanted a little more juice. Used orange peppers tasted fantastic roasted. It Didn't take a whole hour for me to cook as the recipe says, it was done in 35 minutes, even better!

Alfredo Sauce

I thought the flavor was okay. However, the consistency was not. Didn't blend together well, had little gritty pieces, but maybe that was something I did wrong. My husband, who loves the Olive Garden's alfredo, did not care for this. Won't be making this again.

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Okay, I first have to say I'm a vegetarian, so I do not make these with beef, I just add extra beans, but these have been a huge hit with my family. For the kids, I simply make theirs with the beans and cheese (I use cheddar) and for the husband and I we eat with the beans, cheese and corn mix. I did go the easy way though and instead of adding all those spices just use tomato sauce and taco seasoning. Anyway, this has become a weekly requested item for dinner!

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

These were good, but I didn't think they were good enough to be worth the time and effort as opposed to just getting the boxed kind. I made the mistake of not thoroughly reading the reviews beforehand, for me, these took a LONG time to cook, a complete 2 hours (is is why I mostly felt they weren't worth the effort). If do make them again, I will precook the potatoes beforehand.

Green Bean and Mushroom Medley

I was really surprised by the amount of flavor from these simple ingredients! My husband, who does not like vegetables, even liked it! I did not add as much salt as it called for, because it seemed like to much. Instead of garlic salt, I added minced garlic and I only added the seasoned salt and not the plain salt. I'm sure this would taste great with whatever vegetables are your favorites.

Eggplant Parmesan II

I'm a vegetarian, so it's always nice to find meatless meals that are still hearty. I have made a recipe similar to this for years, but it was a vegan recipe that used olive oil instead of eggs and flour instead of bread crumbs. Since I'm not a vegan I wanted to try this version for a little more flavor. Loved it! When I brown the eggplants though I put on broil instead of bake, they brown much quicker that way and still are cooked completely after they bake in the oven.
