OMG. This is one of the best desserts I have ever made on this site. I followed this recipe exactly minus the pie shell. It does not even need it. Blended correctly, this piece of heaven is delicious topped with hot fudge sauce and frozen. P.S. the white sugar in the recipe is fine, as long as it is blended in. You build some serious arm muscles mixing. But hey, think of it as burning some calories before you load up on them:)My family also can not get enough of this pie.

I followed this recipe word for word and was not impressed at all. Way to much sugar and way to much butter was used in this recipe. I used fresh blackberries from our garden which made it semi- edible, but I just can't get past how overly sweet this is- and I like sweet things. If I make this again I would cut the sugar from 1 cup to 1/2 cup and the butter from 1 cup to 1/2 cup as well. Along with being overly sweet it is overly buttery as well. I do have to say it baked up perfectly just like the pictures. Also, I don't think it needed the cinnamon. Oh well.

I made this tonight for my three children and hubby. I needed something quick, tasty, and fast and this fit the bill. No changes needed at all, and it received two thumbs up all around! Thanks!
