We're coming close to the end of this year's Jamming Obsession. I really out did myself but I'm more confident with canning with a water bath now.

JAMMING OBSESSION REVEALED

Yes I know. I went overboard with the jamming the past few days. I have 36 (8oz) jelly jars and
2 tupperware containers full of JELLY!

Not sure who will receive them but I'm sure my MIL/FIL, BIL/SIL, my 2 sisters and their family, my grandma, my mom & brother, husband's friend (who gave us canned peppers last year), kidlet's piano teacher, kidlet's 2 dance teachers, kidlet's school teacher, and teacher's 2 teacher's aides will receive some. Thinking 2 jars for each family will get rid of 26 jars and would leave us with 10. My husband is in love with the Pepper Jelly so I'm sure those will go fast.

Hopefully this will be the end of the Jamming Obsession until next year. I'm not going to make any promises but I need to regain some strength for the tomatoes in my garden.

They all look so wonderful! I really want to try the hot pepper jelly - maybe when my peppers come on a bit stronger. Still jammin' here in PA - got my spiced peach preserves in the water bath right now. I would have done it sooner, but I was busy chopping zucchini and onions for a new relish I'm trying. I'll be right there canning tomato salsa, pickled jalapenos, and hopefully salsa verde! Happy canning!

Way to go, Jo! All those jams and jellies will seem so nice this winter; a taste of summer past! Great job. My daughter just canned 18 quarts of tomatoes, 6 pints of salsa, and about the same number of ketchup. Bumper crop of gorgeous tomatoes. I've only supplied the jars! I opted for the easy way out this year. Love the pix. Thanks for sharing.

About Me
Hi. I'm Josephine. I am a 27 year old SAHM, Army Veteran, and Military Wife. In a nutshell, I was born in the Philippines, moved to the States when I was 6, grew up, joined the Army and served as a combat medic, have moved around a lot, met husband, married, and now reside in West Virginia where my husband is stationed. I have 2 children. Josceline (5 years old) and Lindsay (almost 2 years old). I've always worked in the medical field and was going to school for my nursing degree but that has taken the backseat until my younger daughter starts school.
My favorite things to cook
Almost anything but desserts. I believe desserts are evil and is the devil's way of making me fat!
My favorite family cooking traditions
With my kidlets, I like to cook with them. With my family growing up, we had no cooking traditions.
My cooking triumphs
Josceline's 5th Birthday Castle Cake. It was HUGE with homemade towers. Everyone was so amazed that nobody wanted to eat it.
My cooking tragedies
Tons and tons of it. The most memorable was the time I was sanitizing Josceline's baby bottles with boiling water. I fell asleep and woke up to a horrible smell.
