Today was another picking day. This time it was the last of the Sugar Snap Peas, the first Tomato (yellow cherry type), and STRAWBERRIES! After 3 tries growing strawberries, we finally got to enjoy some. It was too funny. I would show Lindsay the red strawberries. She immediately grabbed… MORE

We finally finished the front patio. Its 8'X12' so we divided the project between 2 days. We also put my daughter's names, foot prints, and handprints on the cement. Lindsay got a little happy and decided to dance on the wet concrete today while I went to the store to get dinner items. Husband… MORE

LAST WEEKEND We started to take down the ramp because it was ugly and the wood was caving in. The previous owner had a wheelchair so the ramp came with the house. Since we don't have a need for it, we started to tear it down. Initially we were going to make a pebble path. After some… MORE

More pictures of flowers in my yard. I do have to say that the hydrangea (white puffy flowers) are in my yard but not my plant. I do have 2 baby hydrangeas, not in bloom, given to me by my next door neighbor. Her hydrangea plant is HUGE and branches through the fence and into my yard.… MORE

At first I decided to opt out of the quilt and scrapbook fun because I have LIMITED sewing skills. After hearing about gderr's wife Claire, I was compelled to do something for him and his family. Hope I did gderr some justice because I really, NO REALLY, do not have experience with quilt… MORE

GARDENING: Of course there will be weeding, watering, harvesting, and replanting. So far we have mulched 1/3 of the garden but haven't finished. Watering and harvesting will come when needed. I already planned to replant peas, spinach, carrots, and second/fall harvest veggies (kale,… MORE

Some more flowers are popping up. I really don't want to be blog wh0ring my photos but I just find flowers so fascinating. Most of them are Gazanias that my daughter "deadheads." She's obsessed with picking flowers so I gave her the Gazanias to satisfy her whim. I hate the Gazania leaves… MORE

About Me
Hi. I'm Josephine. I am a 27 year old SAHM, Army Veteran, and Military Wife. In a nutshell, I was born in the Philippines, moved to the States when I was 6, grew up, joined the Army and served as a combat medic, have moved around a lot, met husband, married, and now reside in West Virginia where my husband is stationed. I have 2 children. Josceline (5 years old) and Lindsay (almost 2 years old). I've always worked in the medical field and was going to school for my nursing degree but that has taken the backseat until my younger daughter starts school.
My favorite things to cook
Almost anything but desserts. I believe desserts are evil and is the devil's way of making me fat!
My favorite family cooking traditions
With my kidlets, I like to cook with them. With my family growing up, we had no cooking traditions.
My cooking triumphs
Josceline's 5th Birthday Castle Cake. It was HUGE with homemade towers. Everyone was so amazed that nobody wanted to eat it.
My cooking tragedies
Tons and tons of it. The most memorable was the time I was sanitizing Josceline's baby bottles with boiling water. I fell asleep and woke up to a horrible smell.
