About this Cook
I'm a young mom with a picky husband, and I'm still learning the finer points of cooking. I grew up in a large family, each of us enjoying large portions; learning how to cook for two is an obstacle I cannot seem to tackle. And please -- please -- if you're reading this, it's spelled "definItely," not "definately." Definite. Definite. Not definate. Please!!!
My favorite things to cook
Anything that looks yummy! I appreciate all foods. If I'm in the mood for it, I'll learn to cook it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Still working on this part...
My cooking triumphs
Making my first apple pie from scratch, and still having people tell me it was the best they'd ever tasted. =)
My cooking tragedies
The first 573 times I tried to make Chex Mix and had it come out of the oven looking like ash.

Oven-Fried Pork Chops
These pork chops were delicious! Very juicy. I made a few changes, mainly because I didn't read the directions right: first, I did not bake the chops in melted butter. I melted the butter in a pan and sauteed the chops. Second, I did not have any bread crumbs, so I made some with crushed saltine crackers, chicken bouillon, granulated garlic and onion powder, to my taste. Turned out better than I ever would have expected.
