Curried Coconut Chicken

My adult sons loved this and gave it a 5 star. I give it a 4 star. I thought it was a tad bit to sweet. Next time I'll only use 1.5 T of sugar. Other then that it was great.

I was really apprehensive about this recipe. After reading the reviews I decided to make a couple of changes. I used 2lbs of Hamburger instead of 1. I used a can of HOT Rotel instead of the salsa and I also used 2 envelopes of Enchilada mix and an 8oz can of tomato sauce. I am not a fan of corn tortilla's so I used flour. This turned out AWESOME! I took it to a social gathering and everyone raved about it. I"m so glad I tried it. I will definitely be making this again and again!

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

I followed the recipe as written and thought it was awful. Way to salty. My son on the other hand could not stop ranting about how wonderful it was. He said it was the best thing I'd fixed in quite awhile. Go figure. I gave it 4 stars because of how much he liked it but if I had rated it I'd have given it a 2 star. Next time I will use less Soy or try the Sodium Reduced. I did love how tender the chops were. That part was awesome!

Bigos (Hunter's Stew)

My exhusband is from Poland and made this often. I have made this recipe several times now and my sons say its better then their fathers. I followed the directions exactly the first time. Now I don't coat the meat. I just throw it all together on top of the stove at first browning the meat and then adding everything. I also use a bag of shredded coleslaw mix instead of chopping a carrot and cabbage. Works great! I just throw pork, beef or chicken in. Whatever I have or is on sale. I've never had this recipe turn out bad. We love it at our house!

Corn Dog Muffins

These were good. I'm a big corn dog lover. The first muffin I ate I thought these don't taste like corn dogs but by the 3rd I thought they did! I sprayed the tins lightly with Canola oil spray and had no sticking but the muffins were very crumbly like other stated. I used Jiffy mix but might experiment with others to see if I can get the recipe up to 5 star.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

This was a 5 star on the ease of the recipe. I also used Bill's taco seasoning mix. My boyfriend loved this recipe. My sons and I thought it was "good". I'm making it again today with a regular envelope of taco seasoning to see if there is any difference.

Sausage con Queso Dip

This was a big hit. I used a can of "hot" Rotel tomatoes. At first it did seem like there was to much liquid but I kept it in a small crock pot and as the night went on it thickened up. This was a breeze to make and yummy!

Unstuffing Side Dish

This was a huge hit. I made it in a large crock pot and doubled the recipe. I also added one granny smith apple. My son who doesn't like stuffing, loved this. I'll be making this next year for sure!

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

I baked 2 of these cakes and gave one to a friend. I had barely left his house and he was calling me on the phone to tell me that it was delicious! I followed the recipe pretty much to the tee except that instead of shredding the carrot myself I used a 10oz bag of already shredded carrot instead of 2 cups. It worked fine and was alot easier! This is now the carrot cake recipe I will be using from here on out! Thank you for sharing your grandfathers recipe.

Cream Cheese Frosting I

I actually followed reviewer Karen Buzzi's recipe because I realized I had forgotten to buy the cream. It was sooo easy and soooo good. I used it on Sam's Famous Carrot Cake and it was a huge hit!

Seasoned Turkey Burgers

We thought they were very good. We didn't feel like it was quite a 5 star but I'll definitely be making them again. I'm also betting the same recipe would be great using beef. I followed the recipe exactly. I did forget to brush the grill before hand but there really wasn't that much sticking. The best turkey burger I've had so far!

Baked Apricot Chicken

I used only 6 chicken thighs but used the same amount of other ingredients. I mixed the sauce at the bottom with white rice after baking. I loved the easy recipe and my family really liked the meal. This one is a keeper.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Yummy! I used 3 can's of beef broth(14.5 oz), 1.5 can's petite diced tomotos. Used dry herbs and cut the amounts in half. Also, used bulk spicy Italian sausage. REALLY YUMMY! Next time I am going to put Italian green beans in like another reviewer mentioned.

Bavarian Mints

Another Nebraska girl here. As good as if not better then Russel Stovers. This is a real keeper. My husband already snuck into the fridge to many times. At this rate it will be long gone before Christmas!
