Easy Pie Crust

I have never even attempted to make pie crust because I'm not a fan of rolling the dough etc etc. So this was perfect! I did cut down on the salt (think I used half of what the recipe called for). Also, if I have a pie that is to bake for an hour + I only bake the shell about 6-7 min so it can finish the baking process with the pie and not burn. Turns out perfect everytime. Thanks!!

Soft Zucchini Spice Cookies

Peach Cream Pie I

I have never made fresh peach pie so this was a first. It turned out amazing and only lasted about 3 days! I put it in the fridge to keep which made it even better!

Peach Cobbler II

I used about 5 fresh peaches in this recipe and that was plenty. Instead of adding the water (which like others made me nervous) I sliced the peaches directly over a bowl and the juice from the peaches served as the "water". I also did not add the butter since I was not using boiling water. It turned out perfect!!!

Easy and Quick Swiss Steak

This turned out quite well. I used the italian stewed tomatoes as suggested by others and it turned out with a lot of flavor. The only thing that disappointed me was that the gravy was not very thick. Next time I will try boiling it and adding corn starch when the meat is done cooking. Was great with mashed potatoes!

Burrito Pie

This was really good. I put 4 tortillas in each layer and made it in a 9x13 dish. I didn't put the beans in with the meat mixture but instead just spread them on top of the tortillas, then layered the meat and cheese. I also added one packet of taco seasoning (without water) to the meat mixture. Will be making again..thanks for sharing!

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Jerky Lover's Jerky - Sweet, Hot and Spicy!

We used this recipe to make deer jerky. We actually ground the meat and then added the marinade. This was a lot of marinade and we used it for about 3 1/2 pounds of ground meat. We let it marinate for about 4 hours and then used a jerky gun and a dehydrator. It has a wonderful flavor and we will definitely be making it again. Thanks!

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Wow! This recipe is great! I have had many different shrimp marinades over the years but this one takes the prize. I marinated the shrimp for about 1 hr 45 min and then put them in a grill basket over the charcoal grill at about 250 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Perfect!!!

Best Lemonade Ever

I have never made fresh lemonade so I searched and searched for a good recipe and this is it! I had to squeeze the lemons by hand since I don't have a juicer so I popped them in the microwave for about 30 seconds until they felt lukewarm. This made squeezing a sinch and I was able to get more juice out of each lemon. I thought it was a little sweet so I may reduce the sugar the next time I make it, but that is a personal preference. Thanks for sharing!!

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

This slaw is awesome! I was skeptical the first day I made it because it tasted a lot like miracle whip, but the following day it was awesome! We ate it with the Slow Cooker Barbecue(which is also on this site) and it was like we went to a restaurant! Thanks for the great recipe, I'll be making this again!

Slow Cooker Barbeque

These are great! I used a bottom round roast because I did not have a chuck roast on hand and and it still turned out wonderful. I used Bulls Eye Original BBQ sauce which is the only sauce my husband likes, and they were delicious. I also took recommendations and dumped out the sauce the roast cooked in and added a new bottle after the meat was shredded. They go great with the Sweet Restaurant Coleslaw recipe on this site...add it to your sandwich and you have a great meal and leftovers!! Thanks!

Grilled Sausage with Potatoes and Green Beans

This was very good and I loved it because I had no dishes to clean up! I did use kielbasa instead of sausage and made 5 individual packets. I put this on my list for camping this summer and can't wait to make it again! Thanks!

Three-Cheese Potatoes

These were good and added a new twist to grilled potatoes. I used 6 small red potatoes in place of the 3 large potatoes. I also think that next time I will omit the onion when cooking and when I add the cheese and bacon I will put chopped green onion on as well. Green onion, bacon and cheese is the ultimate combination!!

Grilled Brown Sugar Pork Chops

These were good although I had trouble getting the sauce to thicken. I used the correct amount of cornstarch and water. I tried it again to use as a glaze on grilled ham steaks and again it didn't get thick. But it does have a very good flavor and adds a new twist to chops and ham.
