Savory Crescent Chicken

Olive Chicken II

This did not turn out good , the chicken was tough and overdone. I followed the recipe precisley as it sounded very good , we all like green olives but were unhappy with the texture.

Maria's Stuffed Chicken Breasts

This turned out ot be a huge meal because the chicken breast I used were way too big , I should have cut them in half then stuffed. I marinated them for a few hours in leftover artichoke oil , I honestly don't know if it made a difference though ! I ended up making a "make shift" tomato sauce because I didn't have enough....all in all good but would alter some things next time, definitely using a bottled sauce! Mine didn't look much like the pictures, not quite as pretty.

Stir-Fried Chicken with Tofu and Mixed Vegetables

I pressed all the liquid from the tofu first then fried in peanut oil and set aside. I added more garlic ,carrots and baby peppers with the chicken. it was great.

Cayenne Pretzels

Good but not what I was expecting as far as texture . They seemed to taste a little stale (but weren't) and not quite as flavorful as I wanted.I think the ranch I used was old and I wonder if that was a contributing factor?

Shrimp Artichoke Dip

This was SO good, I added roasted jalapenos and some hot sauce along with a blend of cheeses.....about a cup more but I used less parm then stated. Turned out great , I will be making this regularly.

Chewy Sugar Cookies

Really good , I was actually looking for a more dense cookie and these turned out lighter in texture but they were very good!I rolled in cinnamon and sugar befor ebaking.

Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas

Wow! These should have been called jalapeno cilantro enchiladas NOT sour cream enchiladas! Too spicy for us even after reducing the amount of Jalapeno salsa BUT I woudl definitely try again with modifications because the cilantro is a great idea.

Breaded, Fried, Softly Spiced Tofu

This is a great way to make tofu more lively! I added extra cayenne ,curry and chili pepper reserving the liquid after taking the tofu out then addng corstartch and making it a sauce with mushrooms ,bean sprouts, onions and scallions in a wok then adding the tofu and serving over rice.

Hearty Tuna Casserole

We were not really happy about the way this tasted due to the dryness . The pictures look great and I suppose if I added a whole jar of mayo it may have looked like that as well but we would have then been sick to our stomaches! I adde extra salt and seasonings but to no avail. The recipe sounded great but the the blandness and dryness leads me to look elshwere for a tuna casserole dish.

Nancy's Chicken in Puff Pastry

This was great. I actually marinated my chicken breast the day ahead I also cut into bite size peices . I added shredded gouda to the cream cheese and chives. VERY tasty. My only porblem was with the bottom of the puff pastry getting a little soggy, still very good ! Like others suggested I cooked longer then specified.

Eggplant Parmesan II

This was great ! I used fresh basil and lots of fresh garlic (too much for my husband). I didn't have enough Mozzarella so I used a blend of italian cheeses .
