Coleslaw I

Scrumdiddliumptious! Just my idea of a perfect coleslaw, creamy and tangy all in the same bite. I increased the amount of black pepper and decreased the amount of sugar. So good!

Vegetarian White Bean 'Alfredo' with Linguine

This was so creamy and wonderful. I added some grated parmesan on top and some black pepper and red pepper flakes. Delicious and definitely a keeper! Made me feel not so guilty about making alfredo and could be a good way to sneak some beans into a kiddo's diet.

Seven Spiced Shark Steaks

Oh my goodness, this was sooo amazingly awesome. The shark simply melted in my mouth and the soy sauce carmelized into the fish. I will make this again and again.

The flavor was good in these but boy oh boy were they ever greasy. Even after a lot of squeezing them with paper towels. Next time I make them I'll attempt baking them or stove top without the oil.

I randomly bought salmon on day at the grocery store, which is odd because I don't actually like salmon (except in salmon ceasar salads). This recipe was a cinch and my boyfriend devoured it but I just don't like salmon.

Seared Ahi Tuna Steaks

This was so tasty. My boyfriend actually ended up making it as I was playing with the baby but he did an excellent job. It was served with wasabi mayo and stuffed mushrooms as our Easter feast.

This was so so incredibly rich and such a spurgle on unnessessary calories but it was delicious. I enjoyed every bite. Should I make again I'll serve over crispy hashbrowns and add a can of diced green chili's.

Kids Favorite Meatloaf

Meatloaf is one of those dishes that requires not recipe but I thought "what the heck maybe someone on AR is doing something that could improve mt meatloaf". Unfortunately, I was pretty unimpressed. Not with the flavor, although I thought it needed more kick, but rather with density. I've always used bread crumbs but went with crackers this time thinking that might lighten and juicy it up. Not so much. So, it's back to my trusty, only in my head meatloaf recipe.

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

This dish was excellent. I used leftover rice so it wasn't exactly restaurant style, meaning it was a bit sticky, but it was still tasty. Next time I'll definitely add garlic and mushrooms.

I'm sorry to say but I didn't much care for this recipe. I might try it again and modify it a bit. I found that the potato soaked up so much of the oil that they didn't get very crispy.

This was ok. If I make it again I'll use half and half rather than milk, add a jalapeno, increase the amount of bacon, and add more black pepper. It was so close to delicious but seemed to fall short on boldness and richness of flavor.

Elegant Scalloped Potatoes

These were wonderful and would've been out of this world if the cooking time hadn't been so off and I completely destroyed the first batch. I did 350 for twelve minutes and they were black and hard.

Springtime Pea Salad

I didn'thave any cauliflower or sunflower kernals so I had to leave them out but otherwise this was very good. I took it to a potluck at work and got lots of compliments. I did use reduced fat ranch and sour cream and I used thick cut peppered bacon.
