About this Cook
I am a 34yr old stay at home mom, and I love to cook, and bake. We try to keep a healthy eating regime, so I don't usually keep sweets around the house. I have many hobbies, but when I have time, cooking is my favorite.
My favorite things to cook
I really enjoy desserts, but have started a more healthy diet this year. I have been cooking with lots of vegetables, healthy meats, and a more moderate sugar intake. We eat alot of seafood, so I am constantly looking for new recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving is the best tradition. The women on my inlaws side all get together on Thanksgiving eve and start preparing The Dinner. We prepare the stuffing, cut the potatos, create the scrumptious sauerkraut, and the deviled eggs. After the hard work is over, we sit to watch a scary movie and drink some wine. I've been doing this for 11 yrs and look forward to the bonding time every year.
My cooking triumphs
Everytime my husband comments on dinner.
My cooking tragedies
Only twice since I've been married have I totally savataged dinner, where we had to order out.

Banana Sour Cream Bread
This cannot be anything but a 5 star! Unbelieveable taste and texture. I just took it out of the oven, and is excellent with a cup of coffee. This recipie is over the top.

Cold Macaroni and Tuna Salad
I liked this recipie, but do agree it's a little bland. I added celery, some seasoning, and a little french dressing.

Excellent Broccoli Cheese Soup
This turned out great. I used half and half instead of milk, fat free cheese and corn starch to thicken. It was the best recipie for cream soup.
