Artichoke Nibbles

This was a hit at Christmas last year so I'm making it again. This recipe also got passed around at Superbowl parties. I scaled it down to an 8" square pan for a small gathering, and it was well received.

Crispy Edamame

These were not bad, but they never got really crispy. it was more like chewy. Still, a different choice for my friends who are health nuts and vegetarians.

Edamame Dip (Edamole)

I didn't care for this one at all, although I liked the idea of using edamame for a dip. But no one cared for the flavor. I'll have to keep looking.

Hot Spiced Cider

Used a crock pot and borrowed another reviewer's suggestion to bundle the spices in a coffee filter secured with a rubberband. It was delicious, definitely the recipe I'll be using from now on!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

So easy, so yummy, thanks for this recipe! I used a 4 lb pork butt (9 hours on low) and it fed me and a teenager for 3 meals (12 sandwiches).

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Loved it!! Left out the walnuts and lemon zest, dredged the blueberries in flour (they didn't sink), made 3 mini-loaves baked at 350 for 45 minutes. Also used 1/2 c. powdered sugar for the glaze. Very yummy, but you have to be a fan of lemon tartness to enjoy this.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

These were yummy. I didn't get a good crown on them though; they were flat on the top. And I did as little mixing as I could. So they didn't look all that great, but it didn't stop us from eating them all in one day!

Sour Cream Coffee Cake

I ended up adding a couple of tablespoons of milk because the batter was too thick to spread over the filling. My boyfriend just had 4 pieces, and says it's better than the last recipe I tried.

Overnight Coffee Cake

I'm only giving this 4 stars as is, because I agree with those who say the nutmeg should be cut in half. It's easy, moist, yummy, but the nutmeg is overwhelming. I will make it again though. This would go over well at my office.

Sausage Casserole

I subtituted cream cheese for cottage cheese and cut the recipe in half (45 min in 8 in. square pan). Very yummy. I also baked the hash brown crust for 25 min before filling. Next time will use more hash browns, maybe 4 c. for the full recipe. Very filling, would work for dinner.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

I used beef broth instead of water. And since I was home that day, I added the veggies 4 hours in since people said they were too soft - that I will NOT do again. They were still too crunchy at 4 hours later on low. The whole dish was actually better the next day. This recipe would be great for 10 hours on low while you're at work. Also, the largest roast I could fins was just over 3 lbs., which was plenty to feed 3 with leftovers for 3.

Lemon Square Bars

I baked the crust at 315 for 15 minutes and the filling at 350 for 25 minutes. Perfect!! And the suggestion about lining the pan with aluminum foil sprayed with Pam was awesome. This one is a keeper!

Banana Split Bread

This was ok, but all the additions made it too much like fruit cake for my taste. I guess I expected something that cost twice as much as banana bread to taste twice as good. I did reduce the chocolate chips to 1-1/2 c., which was definitely still plenty.

Cranberry Nut Bread

I loved this but was a little disappointed to see the same recipe on the back of the fresh cranberry bag. Still, now that they are out of season and the recipe isn't on the frozen cranberry bag, I'm really glad it's posted here!

Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge

My second try at fudge and it turned out perfectly. It's so good it's addictive. I'll definitely add this recipe to the Christmas season goodies I bake. Way yummy. Fair warning: I have gained 10 lbs. since I started making this fudge. Could be a coincidence, but consider yourself warned.
