Kentucky Hot Brown

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
I was born and raised in KY and have always been a fan of the hot brown! This recipes was very good! The only thing I changed was I used 1 1/2 C shredded cheddar and 1/2C shredded parmesan(I have always had them with a cheddar sauce)! I also omitted the mushrooms because we don't use them back home on hot browns! Over all I thought it was very close to the original! Thanks!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
These were very tender! I used butter instead of shortening and it gave them great flavor. I also only used 2 1/2 tsp of baking powder and 3/4 c. of milk. I didn't roll them out. I just formed biscuits by hand and they turned out very nicely!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
Although I thought this was good, it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Next time I would only use half of the sweetened condensed milk and I would add more bananas and more wafers. I think with those changes it would be much better.

Perfect Apple Pie

I put the yolk into the pie mixture because the apple from my tree tend to be very juicy! I rubbed the top crust with butter and then baked it! It was great! This will be my new recipe for sure!

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
This was so easy and it taste awesome! I use a 9x13 because I didn't have a bundt pan or tube pan and it worked out great. I didn't have to bake it quite as long, but I had to turn it on to a cookie sheet instead of a plate.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
This had good flavor and the crockpot made it easy and convenient, but I think I'll stick with my other recipe for Stroganoff. It has a much better flavor and it actually pretty simple!

This was delicious!!! I did saute the chicken in butter with some onion and minced garlic. I added a little bit if cumin, chili powder, and garlic salt and then added the rest of the ingredients. I only used one can of broth and used one can of cream of chicken. I topped it off with sour cream, cheddar cheese, and crushed tortilla chips! DELICIOUS!!!!!

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
This was very tasty! We had it as a meal one night and a side dish the next. I did cut back on the potatoes and added more ham. I think there would have been WAY too many potatoes if I hadn't. I also used 1/2 a can of crm of mushroom and 1/2 a can of crm of chicken. I didn't have any bread crumbs on hand so I just went without. Next time I will try it with, but either way this was delicious. I also used a 1/3 C. of yellow onion b/c my hubby hates green onions. I will make this anytime I have leftover ham! Thanks!

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
These were delicious! I did however make a few alterations. I added more garlic b/c we love it. I only had provalone cheese so that's what I used and it was AWESOME! I'm not a huge fan of feta so I will continue to make these without it. I also seasoned the chicken breast slightly with garlic salt, lemon pepper, and seasonings salt. Then I cooked covered for 30 and uncovered for 30 minutes. This is a keeper!

E-Z Drop Biscuits

These were good, but mine did not rise very much. They were very flat, almost like a fluffy cookie. I will try to make these again though and try to change a few things! Maybe they will trun out better with a little help!

Cool Whipped Frosting

This was soooo good! I divided it into four bowls and added a different drop of food coloring to each. Then I made the cutest cupcakes ever with it! BIG HIT!!!! Not too sweet like buttercream. I did refrigerate overnight before serving the next day and the icing seem to firm up better!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
This turned out great with a little tweaking. I added 5 tsp of milk and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract b/c it was too thick. (I didn't have almond.) It tasted great and turned out very smooth and shiny!
